As a lazy Sunday draws to a close, a quick weekend re-cap for your
enjoyment:
Friday: After a slow day at work, I went out to dinner at
Lombardi's
in Everett with Kara &
Holly.
We had a fun time eating & talking...and laughing alot! The
chocolate mousse (which they provide me in a "to go" paper
coffee cup) is to die for! I haven't had mousse that good since
Rome.
Saturday: I woke up early and drove back up to Marysville
to watch Amy's
volleyball team play in their district tournament. They didn't
win, but put on a heck of a show. Later that night I went to Peso's
for dinner, and went to Chopstix
a new dueling piano bar that just opened down the hill. You gotta
love a giant sing-a-long!
On the cab ride home we learned that it is illegal for a cab driver
to pick up people on a street corner? You have to give an address
or landmark, you cannot be on the corner of two intersecting streets.
Oh, and let me tell you our cab driver did not like that law or
any of the politicians that had anything to do with it (he named
them). He proceeded to rant the entire way home, and even directed
us to a website
that supported his theories. What do I have to say to that? "If
you don't like it here. Move somewhere else."
Sunday: A lazy day it was. I slept in. Watched "Serendipity"
& "Bridget Jones' Diary"...both excellent flicks.
